Pop-up English is a Youth Exchange, which will be held from 4th to 11th of April 2017 in the city of Lorca, in the south eastern region of Spain. In this project will participate 25 youngsters (boys and girls) from Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia and Spain, within the ages of 13 and 18 years old. They will be accompanied by 7 group leaders (1 per country and 3 from Spain).
Our objectives are:
1. create, share, explore and test creative methodologies based on NFE for teaching languages.
2. to support young people in finding diverse ways of communication.
3. to encourage them in building intercultural relations with peers from other countries.
4. to explore how to communicate sensitively and constructively in international settings.
5. create a safe space for exchanging ideas and boost creativity.
We want our participants to meet new, multicultural people who all would share the same language barrier problem and together would find their own ways of communicating and understanding each other. Slowly, participating in interactive activities based on Non Formal Education and interacting with the group during the spare time, the communication will flow, we are sure about that.
The participants will learn about themselves, will reflect on how to share their ideas and express themselves in communication within multicultural environments, improve their English skills and will be more confident in talking, share their concerns about the state of today’s society and propose ideas for learning languages to improve their local communities.
Young people also learn more about the possibilities offered by the Erasmus + Program to continue taking initiative at the local level, or participate in other exchanges, European voluntary service, and much more!
